This Months Provider Profile  – Yonge and Sheppard

My name is Magali and first of all, I love children and people!
As a Psychology graduate with a certificate in Human Resources Management from Ryerson University, my work experience has been focused on Human Resources, but I have always tried to focus part of my work on children. To so, I worked for an Early Stimulation Program for children aged between 1 and 3. My work there consisted on developing activities to develop children’s abilities at early stages and to help them reach their fullest potential while having fun.  In addition, I did my internship at the Institute of Neoplastic where I provided therapy and support to children with cancer.
I am the mother of two children:  4 ½ Aaron and Nicole who recently turned 2. I love them with all my heart and having them is the greatest gift of all. Raising my children has made me realize how much I love being with children and so I have decided to leave the corporate world and focus 100% of my time on taking care of children.
I want to make an impact on society, I want my work to have value and I want my life to be geared towards providing happiness to children and their families.  I know how important it is to have your child with individuals who truly respect, nurture and care for them. This is exactly what I will provide: support, love and guidance.
I have developed several age appropriate activities and a program that will engage the children to learn while having fun, fun, fun.
Most importantly they will feel respected and cared for as if they were at home. That is the key promise I can make you and your family.
Both English and Spanish are spoken at home and it would be my pleasure to teach your child a few words of Spanish.
I like to cook well balanced lunches and snacks fresh from scratch and I can’t wait to have cooking days when the children can help me bake some dish. Lots of fun.
I live in a great neighbourhood. It is very family oriented and there are 3 parks close by: Tournament Park (which has a playground and is located next to Tournament Park Tennis club); Yorkminster Park and Owen Park (beside Owen Public School, one of the best schools in the area). My house is located close to the intersection of Yonge and 401, so public transportation is accessible and since this is a residential area traffic is never an issue which makes things safer for children.  As a matter of fact, the reason why we moved into this neighborhood was the security and great location of it. There are lots of children in the neighborhood and it is always fun to go for walks.
I look forward to meeting you and your child soon.

This Months Provider Profile  YONGE AND SHEPPARD- off Beecroft

My name is Farzaneh. I am a linguist and language specialist (PhD) and have over 10 years of working professionally with children. I have been working with monolingual and bilingual children, as well as children with language delays/impairment for 7 years. I have 2 years experience as a mother and have cared for other children for over 4 years. Now that my daughter is more independent, I decided I would begin to implement my dream to operate my own childcare center, starting with Home Care. I have always enjoyed being with children, watching them learn and grow through exploration, sharing in the excitement of new discoveries and mastering new skills. I would love nothing more than guiding them along their own unique path to make these discoveries and develop these skills.

Besides offering high quality care, as a language specialist, I am in a unique position to provide your child with the help they need at this age to smoothly develop language(s). I am certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR. I provide a safe, clean, pet- and smoke-free environment and serve all organic, nutritious homemade food from scratch everyday. Daily indoor and outdoor educational and developmentally appropriate activities will be provided. We are 2 minutes walk from the park and library and close to the farmers market in the summer at Mel Lastman Square.
