My name is Magali and first of all, I love children and people!
As a Psychology graduate with a certificate in Human Resources Management from Ryerson University, my work experience has been focused on Human Resources, but I have always tried to focus part of my work on children. To so, I worked for an Early Stimulation Program for children aged between 1 and 3. My work there consisted on developing activities to develop children’s abilities at early stages and to help them reach their fullest potential while having fun.  In addition, I did my internship at the Institute of Neoplastic where I provided therapy and support to children with cancer.
I am the mother of two children:  4 ½ Aaron and Nicole who recently turned 2. I love them with all my heart and having them is the greatest gift of all. Raising my children has made me realize how much I love being with children and so I have decided to leave the corporate world and focus 100% of my time on taking care of children.
I want to make an impact on society, I want my work to have value and I want my life to be geared towards providing happiness to children and their families.  I know how important it is to have your child with individuals who truly respect, nurture and care for them. This is exactly what I will provide: support, love and guidance.
I have developed several age appropriate activities and a program that will engage the children to learn while having fun, fun, fun.
Most importantly they will feel respected and cared for as if they were at home. That is the key promise I can make you and your family.
Both English and Spanish are spoken at home and it would be my pleasure to teach your child a few words of Spanish.
I like to cook well balanced lunches and snacks fresh from scratch and I can’t wait to have cooking days when the children can help me bake some dish. Lots of fun.
I live in a great neighbourhood. It is very family oriented and there are 3 parks close by: Tournament Park (which has a playground and is located next to Tournament Park Tennis club); Yorkminster Park and Owen Park (beside Owen Public School, one of the best schools in the area). My house is located close to the intersection of Yonge and 401, so public transportation is accessible and since this is a residential area traffic is never an issue which makes things safer for children.  As a matter of fact, the reason why we moved into this neighborhood was the security and great location of it. There are lots of children in the neighborhood and it is always fun to go for walks.
I look forward to meeting you and your child soon.

Hello my name is Simin.
I am a mother of one child who is 7 and a half years old.
Raising my daughter has made me realize how much I love being with children and how much I enjoy their curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills and explore new ideas.
I believe children who are busy with fun age appropriate activities and that have the chance to explore the world around them in a safe and loving environment will grow to be happy, secure adults able to handle all of life’s ups and downs.
I will plan my daily and weekly activities for all areas of development based on your child’s interests and will encourage your child to expand their sense of self-esteem and self-confidence through easy day to day routines. As an avid reader I hope to spend lots of time exploring books and look forward to exciting times playing out their many adventures.
Both English and Farsi are spoken at home and it would be my pleasure to teach your child a few words of Farsi and even Turkish and I look forward to learning a few new words in your language.
I like to cook well balanced lunches fresh from scratch each day and my snacks are wholesome and healthy following the Canadian Food Guide. I welcome your menu ideas and recipes and will enjoy having your child “help” do some baking.
My condominium complex “Crossroads” is located  in Toronto close to the intersections at Sheppard and 404. Public transportation is very accessible and I am close to both the 404 and the 401/Don Valley Parkway. This is a gated, family oriented complex so traffic is limited to residents which makes it a safer area for children.
There are 3 very nice big parks close to my home, Old Sheppard Park, Muirhead Park and Pleasant View Park which has a splash pad for the children in the summer. Pleasantview Library is right beside the park and community center, as well as I am fairly close to Fairview Library and Mall.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your child.

Day Care Provider -Mandy

MANDY PEREIRA

My name is Mandy Pereira and I am an ECE trained teacher. I want to take this opportunity to let you know a little more about myself, and the nature of the care I will be providing for your child. I started caring for and educating children at the age of 18, as this passion grew I worked and volunteered at different childcare centers, gathering a wide variety of experience.
I have considerable experience in my field and have been working with children of all ages for over 18 years. I have been working as a Home Day Care Provider for 9 years now and prior to this I used to teach children from grades 1-5.

I am dedicated and passionate in my profession as a Home Day Care Provider, and throughout the years I have learned that child care needs to go beyond learning. Before a child can learn they must feel comfortable in a safe and healthy environment. When the child feels safe and healthy it positively fosters children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. I feel that such a positive environment is needed in order for children to fully understand love, encouragement and respect.  I ensure that I keep pace with regular gradations and am equipped with necessary training, some of which includes, CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse, Safety, Arts and Crafts, Health, Social, Creative, Working with Special Needs Kids, Magic of Music, Learning Environment, Communication, Early Language Development, Safety, Fire Safety, Mentoring, Home Preschool Program, Emergency Preparedness and more. In doing so, I maintain that the children I care for are in a secure and nurturing environment, and one where they are able to build their self-esteem and respect for others with creative learning techniques. I also have previous experience with working with children with special needs and autism.

As a Home Day Care Provider, my goal is to create a safe yet spirited ambiance for each child in order to stimulate their physical, intellectual, multicultural, social and emotional growth. I have activities planned with great attention to detail according to the the children’s needs and schedule them according to their age groups. The children at my daycare are enthusiastic to take part in creative activities and are taken for daily walks to parks, libraries, pet stores etc. to keep their day lively and entertained. I also personally prepare wholesome meals and snacks which are home-cooked and nutritious. Children that have special dietary needs are likewise accommodated and I welcome parents’ suggestions and feedback on their children’s requirements. My primary intention is to provide the children with loving and supportive care through a welcoming home and a gentle demeanor in which to make them feel at ease. I am wholeheartedly committed to the needs of each one of the children and to imparting a service that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual as they are prepared to enter junior kindergarten with confidence and an eagerness to learn and progress.
